Why would I choose to join the team at Mt Helena Family Vet Clinic?
After chatting about what we’re looking for in a new Vet to join us, I took some time to think about what truly matters to me in this field, and what inspired me to become a Vet in the first place.
With nearly a decade owning and practising at Mt Helena Family Vet Clinic, plus experience in several other clinics, I’ve learnt which qualities are most important to me when looking at a veterinary role.
These priorities guided me to independent practice and shaped what I now call my “Workplace Wish-List.”
My Workplace Wish-List –
- Culture: I love working in a positive environment with amazing support from a well-trained, motivated nursing and reception team.
- Autonomy: I love the freedom to practice high-quality medicine without the extra pressure of strict KPIs.
- Collaboration: I love working alongside experienced colleagues to bounce ideas off and collaborate on cases.
- Growth: I love access to the clinical equipment necessary to excel in medicine and surgery and continue expanding my skill set.
- Relationships: I love the opportunity to build long-term, trusting relationships with clients.
- Development: I love to work in a clinic that actively supports continuing education, I like to have opportunities to receive regular and positive feedback from my employers and colleagues so I can grow.
- Balance: I love to be remunerated fairly and generously for an honest day’s work in a setting where we like to work and enjoy a laugh.
I truly believe our team of 5 experienced vets and 7 dedicated nurses have created a work place that meet these criteria.
If my Workplace Wish-List resonates with you, I’d welcome you to get in touch, as we are looking for such an individual to join us.
We are currently seeking an experienced “all-rounder” to join us on a part time or full time basis.
The ideal candidate enjoys consulting and is proficient in surgery—specifically routine soft tissue and dentistry. An interest in orthopaedics is a bonus. We value efficiency, strong time management, and a positive attitude.
Please send a confidential cover letter and CV to Tanya at tanya@mthelenavet.com.au
